Hunger, warmth,
and and the steams of the porridge,
the kettle is set to sing.
The woman is mindful of the baby
and the man is happy watching both.
An evocative smell of the morning stirs
and the little home is a haven
for all the angels of paradise.

"Summer in the light and winter in the shade"
and you feel on the face the breeze of the glade,
and glad you are that in your yard
the summer has no end and the winter
has a signal to wait till the morrow.
The mornings open a day with the wisps
of the vapors of coffee rising with the rising sun.
The seasons run with the tryst with time,
and carry the loads of years on the sack
they carry on their back.
Trust me , Nature wants us to be happy
and mark the rhythm of its rock and roll.

Sunday...
One of those April
days when the sun
shines hot and the
wind blows cold:
when it is summer
in the light and
winter in the shade.

Thoughtful in the halflight,
the profile and the face,
the mood and the mirror.
Sometimes the pages we write
in the halflight
are truer than what we set out to write,
the depth we could never imagine us to dive.
The glimpses of the face as we never saw us
is shown in the mirror.
The subliminal divine shines in the eye.
The peace which comes
from the intuited land
wraps us around as we fall asleep.

Trapped,
dreaming,
BROODING OVER

something lost,
something that hurt,
perhaps some sullen word
spoken by someone when the day was going dark.
A troublesome memory.
It made no sense,
and now a thing of the past.
The sun that throws its light
on the tense shoulder
is sliding away .
An amateurish gesture
made by someone
to bring a smile,
had also
slipped
out of the grip.
A broken pitcher
never could the pieces hold
the water the pitcher was meant to hold.

Hi Sushama. Just very worried really.

Are you in UK? Things are full of anxiety and long uncertainty here. There is a nationwide lockdown. We are all under house-arrest.
Do take care. Times are hard everywhere. But we we live and struggle in the hope that this too shall pass.
Yes, in NE UK. Lockdown here too: it's worse near London (which I visit regularly). I work in a dementia care home - very high risk environment. Also, I'm main carer for my parents - one of whom is in the highest risk category!
      Stressed!!
I understand. A word or two from your Indian friend... stay calm and centered. God is testing humanity
Thanks Sushama. Stay safe and well yourself.
          Yes; thanks Tony.
I have started coming here more often now to de-stress
Really important to have distractions. I'm reading a lot, listening to music. Trying to exercise a little.
              Keep it up. Smile 🙂
