All the leaves that slumber ,
both below and on the top of the tree
have known the crowning glory, and now know the peace
of lying low,in the warm and cosy shadow of the tree.
Mild sun passes over the swamp and the hil.
I put my hand out to catch the fleeting glow
falling over gardens strangely shaped
by a gardener who knew not how to trim
the rough edges of the wild growth.
All the memories we could never undo,
all the knots we could never untie,
I spot them lying low in the sunlit glow,
in a landscape full of trees and leaves.
November sets the seasons free
and lightens the burden for every tree.
The storms, the rains, the lightnings
the November is here to set us free

And all the lives we ever lived
and all the lives to be
are full of trees
and changing leaves...
- Virginia Woolf
