Years of learning
when the horizon seemed so far!
Shadows danced on the green sea,
alluring, unreachable!
The sky changed colors,
but in the midst of it all
something held,
a constant vision of a thing far sublime
like the canvas that always left
something to be captured
something seen and yet not reached.
The days of learning never end.
