this meeting again in the shadow of doubts,
your brow furrowed with lines of silence
where once was the eloquent radiance of love.
Estrangement, when it occurs, has traveled over
a disaster of sand and sorrow.
In the brief embrace, we stand apart,

A fishing boat seeks a landing place.
The day is almost done.
The sky looks very much the same
in the hour of the sunset and the dawn.
Launching takes the will to do;
The return is reconciliation
with the state of having no more to do.
Tomorrow will be another day a strange destination,
The fisherman is focused on hauling the catch;
He doesn't have to hone the marketing skills
His encounter with destiny ends
at the definite point where the sea yields
a bounty of silver to fulfill his needs.
My work begins after his day ends.

A sanguine day
a sunflower
runs ahead
of all the shades of the gray.
A sanguine sun
marks the way,
all along are the signs to play
the notes of a new script of a summer's day.
In the distance, not too far
is a glow of a fire
that burns without the smothering smoke.
A crystal glitters
and the spectrum spreads
beams of light in the cardinal points of the way.
