When I live
in the somber and the sublime
I hear your silence in both.
The trivia of life
and the echo of what you said,
when they collide, I don't know
where to draw the line
to save your absence.

Streaks of silver line the clouds;
the sky is touched by a tinge of blue.
Slowly the life stirs
among the ruins by the bridge.
An old castle atop the hill,
densely shadowed by trees,
birches, maples, oaks, and the strange wild, unnamed growth over time
brook in their hearts
the secret bridge covered in the elusive light of the reluctant Moon.
