Sushama Karnik Am so glad you are writing again, Sushama and sharing. I must confess I had missed you and your work a lot.
For me, I do not see this poem as an attempt but as being in the perfect continuity of what I had read before, in its fluidity,…

What a beautiful and intimate poem, Sushama!
I have read it as a symphony in words, as a jugalbandi between yourself the poetess and soulmates Paul Eluard and Charles Baudelaire.
The three artists and sculptors of words that you three are celebrate Poetry and your journey through Life.
The surrealist touches that are intrinsically Eluard’s poetry and that I had very often underlined in your work become one here: I like the visual impact present in your poem, reminding me of the love Eluard had for plastic arts, in particular painting and photography; the sea is also a theme dear to them. I feel you have added some Baudelairian accents in the evocation of the albatross, referring here to the symbolical significance of the bird as a metaphorical image of the poet’s moral and spiritual grandeur. God and Poetry as enlightening the world and guiding us through our voyages and journeys: thank you for sharing, Sushama!

As far as Baudelaire is concerned, his poem "L'albatros" interestingly lead me to yours. My idea of mentioning the poem was spontaneous.

The gorge of the sea was silently strong
And the echoes of our muted tones…
