FAREWELL THE ARTIST... Arezki Larbi is no more

I remember him, when I was a child, when he was still a student at Algiers Fine Arts, a dynamic young man with a bohemian artist design. He lived at his Uncles house near our family house. His presence had the power to inflame my imagination, me, the Feru, at the time, of drawing and painting because seeing in front of you an artist painter in flesh and bone was rare in our city. He possessed an contagious passion for his art, a creative flame that flashed in his eyes and unknowingly, would ignite a spark in me.
.
Her small workshop, which also served as a bedroom office and whose window overlooking the street, was a sanctuary of color and ideas, a place where the laid-back blank canvases were open doors to unexplored worlds. I often sneaked discreetly, through the window, into this magical space, silently observing the skillful strokes of his paintbrush, the subtle blends of his colors, and each stroke of his pencil that brought his visions to life.
.
He wasn't content with painting pictures, but rather emotions, dreams materialized on the canvas. And I, a little lover of pencils and brushes, drank every detail of his art, absorbing that creative energy that permeated the air.
.
Over the years, I've watched this artist evolve, from classrooms to exhibition halls, from sketches to finished canvases, from dreams to concrete achievements. He was like a guide into the infinite labyrinth of creativity, showing that art is not limited to canvas, but infiltrates every fiber of life.
.
Today that he joined the stars, I remember him with gratitude, for he was more than an artist who colored canvases, he was the one who awakened my passion, who planted the seed of creativity in the garden of my childhood heart. Each stroke of the brush was a lesson of life, an invitation to explore the vast horizons of imagination. And though time has travelled, his impact remains, as I always carry with me that artistic spark ignited by the young man and immense artist he was.
