Fair Weather
Sunlight streaming over the sea,
Fair weather, an even keel.
The sun ruling over the sea, a sea that rocks dreamily and waves that do not toss the boat,
the shore is unseen, hidden
in the dazzling white sunlight mist.
The boatman ventured without a mast,
with a pair of oars in hand.
In the mid-ocean the sea is gray and strong;
better not to challenge the might of the sea
