What is it that draws the soul to the sea?

At first, the openness of the sea terrifies.

Then gradually the sea opens and speaks.

It speaks of the spaces in the heart we never visited before;

the portals that were closed,

a language that both dips us into the abyss and then lifts

and makes us see the life as vast without a shore if we forget

that there is the sea with all the hypnotic sounds at day and night and the waves lapping up the distance to reach the shore.
