 Good morning

A rare summer with a dark sky letting the sunshine sneak
and play hide and seek with the sea and the sand.
Taking a hint I watch from a distance
the children play in the ebbing waters,
safe and trusting the tide too in this hour of a cosmic playfulness.
A faraway sea and a faraway child, a red dot prancing on the sand; my eternal sand is lying low,
taking in this hour of vastness and peace.
Sushama Karnik.

The dark sky seems to enhance the whole scenery, as a reassuring backdrop. This poem is a visual evocation of a moment in time I wish I could photograph, with this "red dot" the focal point. In my photograph, I would also suggest the invisible presence of the "I", like a hidden, yet very present, conductor.
Magical.

Françoise Dhulesia It was written, keeping in view your splendid photo of lifeguard and a dark summer sky, and a red dot of a child playing in the ebbing tide; all exactly as you would suggest in your comment. Go back to your page. You will find the entie poem as a comment on your photo.

Sushama Karnik Yes, I have read it with an immense pleasure! I have loved how your interpretation and my vision very candidly met, without any sort of consultation from your side or mine! 😀

Wow: I have just read this comment on one of my images on Global and I thank you immensely for it! Your words definitely add another dimension to the scene I had shot! A great thank you, Sushama! And how wonderful, really, that I'd wished I had taken a photograph inspired by the evocation in your lines!
